The Auditory Perception Engineering Laboratory\n(APEL) investigates the individualization of auditory perception in real-life\nspatial environments, and engineers towards a closed-loop hearing device for\nnormal hearing and hearing impaired listeners to achieve beneficial outcome via\nadaptation with biophysical feedback. The APEL adopts approaches include\nPsychoacoustics, Speech Perception & Production, Auditory & Cognitive\nNeuroscience, Cochlear Implant, Hearing Aid, and Signal Processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
