With your help, we will elevate our nationally ranked academic programs to be the most sought-after clinical and research training for speech, language and hearing disorders in the country by advancing the Clinician-Scientist Training Program and endowing graduate clinical fellowships for students.

Shape the future of speech, language and hearing health care by supporting students in the Clinician-Scientist Training Program. In this program, students earn a clinical degree and a research degree. Audiology students pursue a doctoral degree in audiology to complete their clinical work in parallel with a Doctor of Philosophy degree to prepare them as a researcher. Speech-language pathology students pursue a Master of Science degree in speech-language pathology in parallel with a Doctor of Philosophy degree. The combined degrees establish a strong foundation for a career as a clinician-scientist.

The Clinician-Scientist Training Program molds exceptional students into clinician-scientists who will not only provide the next generation of patient care, but define it. Students receive the unique opportunity to work with master clinicians and faculty researchers on collaborative teams that strategically translate research ideas into clinical care. Students gain hands-on experience in the lab and real-world experience in the clinic. Patient care influences their research, and their research advances patient care. This invaluable education combination results in clinician-scientists who not only transform care for the patient population at Callier but go on to better thousands of lives across the country through leadership in patient care, education of future health care providers, and advancing the scientific foundation of speech and hearing evaluation and treatment.

Your investment could:

“The role of a clinician-scientist is like a perfect harmony of two worlds.
