{"id":71,"date":"2018-11-08T17:42:21","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T17:42:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fueldev.site\/~callier\/callier-center\/about\/vision-and-mission\/"},"modified":"2024-11-18T18:28:21","modified_gmt":"2024-11-19T00:28:21","slug":"vision-and-mission","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/calliercenter.utdallas.edu\/about-callier\/vision-and-mission\/","title":{"rendered":"Vision and Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vision<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To be the national leader for treatment, training and research in communication disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Three-Part Mission: Treatment, Training and Research<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To transform the lives of those with communication disorders by providing outstanding, leading-edge clinical services, conducting meaningful and innovative basic and applied research into new treatments and technologies, and training the next generation of caring clinical providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Treatment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"182\" src=\"https:\/\/calliercenter.utdallas.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/pediatric-cochlear-implant.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1154\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>We provide more than 30,600 clinical services, including evaluation and treatment, to over 5,200 children and adults annually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> We offer intervention services for children and adolescents with <a href=\"https:\/\/calliercenter.utdallas.edu\/evaluation-treatment\/adult-autism-spectrum-disorder-programs-services\/\">autism spectrum disorder<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Our <a href=\"https:\/\/calliercenter.utdallas.edu\/evaluation-treatment\/pediatric-cochlear-implant-services\/\">cochlear implant program<\/a> treats children who are deaf. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> We provide a variety of other <a href=\"https:\/\/calliercenter.utdallas.edu\">hearing services<\/a> for children and adults. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <a href=\"https:\/\/calliercenter.utdallas.edu\/evaluation-treatment\/pediatric-speech-language-programs-and-services\/\">Speech and language therapy<\/a> helps children with articulation and motor speech disorders, delayed language, feeding disorders and stuttering, and helps adults with cognitive-communication impairments and stuttering. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Training<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"259\" height=\"173\" src=\"https:\/\/calliercenter.utdallas.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/callier-training.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1157\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><em>U.S. News &amp; World<\/em> Report ranks our Doctor of Audiology Program No. 3 in the nation, and our Master of Science in Communication Disorders Program (speech-language pathology) No. 21.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both graduate programs rank in the top 10% in the nation. The speech-language pathology graduate program is the largest on-site program in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Research<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"252\" height=\"173\" src=\"https:\/\/calliercenter.utdallas.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/research-study.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1158\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Internationally respected scientists conduct advanced <a href=\"https:\/\/calliercenter.utdallas.edu\/research\/\">research <\/a>that forwards the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language and hearing disorders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Many of the ongoing research projects are funded through the<strong> National Institutes of Health<\/strong> and the <strong>National Science Foundation<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vision To be the national leader for treatment, training and research in communication disorders.
