Callier Cares Fund
Support the Callier Center’s mission to help children and adults overcome speech, language, and hearing disorders. The Callier Care Fund ensures that children and adults have access to essential care regardless of their income level or insurance coverage. These funds allow patients to hear, speak and connect with the world.
Sharon and Ross Roeser Fellowship for Audiology
Sharon and Ross Roeser dedicated their lives and careers to the education and practice of audiology. This fund is intended to financially support student audiologists and incentivize new research, treatment, and educational programs.
Campbell Callier Prize
The Thomas F. Campbell Callier Prize in Communication Disorders recognizes individuals for their leadership in fostering scientific advances and significant developments in the diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders. The Callier Center hosts a biennial event recognizing and celebrating the recipient of the Campbell Callier Prize.
Communication Learning Program (CLP)
The Communication Learning Program (CLP) provides activities to support individuals who have suffered a stroke or other traumatic brain injury by helping them to practice and maintain their communication skills and thereby improve their quality of life. CLP patients may have exhausted their options for treatment and look to Callier for further opportunities.
Camp Interact
Camp Interact is a weeklong therapeutic day camp for children entering 2nd – 6th grades with social skill difficulties. Children may have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, social communication disorder, nonverbal learning disorder and/or mild language impairments. The day includes a lesson time, drama, team building, “funshops” and other special activities.
Evergreen Fund
The Evergreen Fund is a critical resource that enables clinical care for children with communication disorders. Gifts will help cover the cost of treatment for children with autism, hearing loss, speech-language disorders and other communication disorders.
Callier Fellowship Fund
This fund helps graduate students pursuing a degree in Communication Disorders as they assist researchers and caregivers, and treat patients. The Callier Fellowship Fund helps cultivate the next generation of groundbreaking audiologists and speech-language pathologists.
Summer Listening Camp
The annual Summer Listening Camp is a day camp for children with hearing differences that use hearing technology such as hearing aids or cochlear implants. Camp activities such as arts and crafts, music and relay races are used to facilitate the child’s development of speech, language, listening and social skills. This fund supports camp expenses and scholarships for patients who otherwise might not be able to attend.
Pediatric Hearing Aid Fund
This fund supports children in need of hearing aids and follow up services in the Dallas area. Those who qualify receive necessary hearing aids and three years of services to ensure they achieve developmental milestones despite financial barriers.
Callier Speech
The Speech Department at the Callier Center and UT Dallas is shaping the future of speech-language pathology through groundbreaking research and the training of tomorrow’s leading clinicians. Your support helps ensure that children struggling to find their voices and adults working to regain communication skills have access to innovative therapies and care.
Pediatric Feeding Program
Did you know speech is a secondary function of the same anatomical features of eating? Callier is dedicated to all areas of speech and language development, including feeding in children. Donations to the Pediatric Feeding Program help support Callier’s Food and Fun and Supportive Treatment of Eating in Preschoolers (STEPS) program, as well as other treatments.
