Parent’s Association

Welcome to the Callier Parents’ Association (CPA)

By enrolling your child in the Callier Child Development Program, you are automatically a member. CPA is a social organization that strives to promote a feeling of community among our children and parents and acts as a conduit between our teachers and parents. We have several events throughout the year and would love you and your child’s participation in social and fundraising events. We hope you will volunteer and be an active member of your child’s school. Every minute helps! We will email links to volunteer in our Callier e-news summary and reminder emails the week before each event.

CPA Social Events

Due to COVID-19, all program group gatherings/events are either cancelled or rescheduled. Please watch for updates on this website and notification through your email.

CPA social events are run by the CPA and do not include the teacher-run events like Family Feast or the Halloween Parade.

Welcome and Goodbye Celebration: Cancelled

This is a time to welcome all of the new families and to say a final goodbye to all of the families moving on. Pizza is provided for everyone!

CPA Picnic: September 20, 2020 | Scottish Rite Park: Cancelled

On Saturday, September 20, we gather for a wonderful play date in the sun and shade of Scottish Rite Park. Families bring their own picnic lunch, and the CPA sponsors lunch for teachers and administrators who attend. It is a great way to see your little ones playing with their friends!

Winter Wonderland: TBD

One of our most popular events, Winter Wonderland is a school-wide celebration of all things winter. We have craft and activity tables representing winter holidays across many cultures: Winter Solstice, Chanukah, Christmas, Divali, Las Posadas, Dongzhi, Kwanzaa, and other “snowy” activities. We even offer free pictures with Santa! It really is so much fun.

International Food Festival: TBD

Another of our most popular events, the International Food Festival is a combination of three of our favorite things: the multi-cultural aspect of our families, whose parents often come from around the world; the delicious food they make; and music! It is a potluck dinner. Bring your favorite kid-friendly dish and be amazed as your child tries something you never thought he or she would.

Staff Appreciation Day: May 7, 2021

To show our staff our love and thanks, we organize a luncheon for them and give them gift cards to a popular store. Also during the week, we give them extra hugs, flowers from our gardens or whatever you and your child want to do to show your love!

Callier Parents’ Association Fundraising Events

The money raised from fundraising events goes directly to keeping our school in the excellence category. Playground equipment, new cubbies and lockers, teacher development to keep their strategies current, and special events all come from fundraising. Your help is appreciated, whether it is time, money or items!

Book Fair: September 25, 2020

The Scholastic Book Fair is a great way to stock up on your child’s favorite books, enhance the supply of books in the classroom and raise funds for CPA. Please join us! We need help setting up, running the till and cleaning up.

Silent Auction: April 2021

The silent auction is our major fundraiser for the school. Parents request donations from area and national businesses and ask the teachers to assemble class art projects, as well as donate their precious time in fun one-on-one activities with our kids. Parents may preview items and bid online. Then, parents come to the silent auction to win fabulous things that support their child’s education. Last year, we had an amazing response with our highest attendance yet, and it was a blast!

2020 – 2021 Callier Parent Association Contacts

CPA is governed by an elected committee that works together with classroom representatives. There are many opportunities to participate through numerous projects and special events each year. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us!
