Campers will participate in musical-themed activities centered around one of the core musical scenes featured in the showcase, “Mary Poppins.” Their activities will include dance, arts/crafts, lighting, makeup, cast visits and costume and prop development, all while learning how to use hearing technology in more environments than just home or school.
On Saturday, campers perform selections from the musical of Mary Poppins for families and then attend the professional production at the Watertower Theatre in Addison, Texas!
Camp Mary Poppins is in collaboration with Watertower Theatre, Broadway Dallas, Hear Us Now, Dr. Linda Thibodeau’s Hearing Health Lab and Dr. Andrea Warner-Czyz’s Children and Infant Listening Lab. Each component is contributing expertise to the camp, which allows for experiences in multiple theatres.
