President
As President of the Foundation for the Callier Center and Communication Disorders, Mrs. McPherson spearheads the separate 501(c)3 organization that serves on the executive council to the president of the University of Texas at Dallas and to the executive director of the Callier Center.
Mrs. McPherson has been involved with Callier since 2003, when two of her sons received cochlear implants. She and her family have been patients of Callier for over 20 years and have received clinical services and participated in numerous research studies relating to hearing loss and cochlear implants. She joined the board of trustees of the Foundation for the Callier Center and Communication Disorders in 2018 and is currently serving as the Chairman of the Callier Family Care Campaign, with a goal of raising $15 million for the Callier Center for Communication Disorders.
The foundation’s mission is to increase recognition of the Callier in the community; increase the image of Callier in the University of Texas System; and to help carry out fundraising activities.
