Section 33: Employee PHI Confidentiality Agreement
All members of the Workforce within the UT Dallas health care component including faculty, staff, volunteers and students are required to comply with this Manual. Workforce members may not use PHI including photographs taken at the Callier Center of patients, patient names or any other information that could be used to identify a patient for any purpose not associated with a specific work-related duty. Posting of PHI, patient photos, or referencing patient circumstances or details regarding treatment or diagnosis on social media sites is strictly prohibited, unless approved by the Privacy Officer with appropriate patient consent.
UT Dallas shall require all Workforce members to document their understanding of this manual by completing training, signing training rosters, or otherwise signifying completion of training. Failure to comply with this manual, failure to complete required training, and/or failure to provide documentation of compliance may result in appropriate discipline, up to and including termination of employment or dismissal from UT Dallas.
