It is with heavy hearts that we must cancel the Callier Cares Luncheon on April 20 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus). The health and safety of our donors, friends and everyone in the Callier family are of utmost importance to us. Barbara and John Stuart to Receive the Ruth and Ken Altshuler Callier Care Award
We are privileged to honor Barbara and John Stuart with the 2020 Ruth and Ken Altshuler Callier Care Award. This award is presented annually to an individual or group who has contributed significantly to the betterment of the community and to advancing the care of patients with communication disorders.
The Stuarts are ardent advocates of the Callier Center and distinguished leaders in the community. A Foundation for the Callier Center trustee since 2010, John is a former board president. Barbara generously made her mark as Callier Cares Luncheon chairman in 2013.
Proceeds Will Benefit Patients in Need through the Callier Care Fund
Ruth and Ken Altshuler created the Callier Care Fund to ensure that children and adults would have access to essential care regardless of their income level or insurance coverage. Because of the Altshuler’s benevolence, these patients have the opportunity to overcome speech, language and hearing disorders, so that they may hear, speak and connect with the world.
